We make learning easy! From playing in a band, to taking examinations to further your studies, here at RED we make learning rewarding, challenging and loads of fun along the way! We make your classes as serious or as fun as you need – because, lets be honest – classes are about YOU and we want you to get the most out of them!
Here at RED, we empower our students to acquire all of the skills necessary to be a successful drummer. Lessons focus on learning and developing technique, rhythm, coordination as well as more complex skills such as four-way coordination and polyrhythms. Students also develop a detailed understanding of the drummer’s role in an ensemble and will be able to play with other musicians in a variety of styles. Since the drums are not solo instruments, we also encourage our drum students to join a band, such as becoming a member of our Rock Academy program here at the Red Music Centre.
Drum Students also have the opportunity to take formal graded music examinations through the Rockschool International Music Examination Board.
